I was interested in representing currency in my design but which one? A circle with points protruding in opposite directions is a generic currency sign that is used when the correct currency sign is unavailable. The white squares were a complete accident when I happened to fill an unjoined path with colour instead of stroke. It reminds me of the door to a bank vault, a vaulted door to nightclub that deals in an unspecified currency seems kinda shady to me but ties in nicely with the very austere colours that corporate companies use.
