Graphic Design Associations in Australia

The Australian Graphic Design Association (AGDA) is a national organisation that provides tools and promotes productive, creative relationships between clients and professional graphic designers. The association provides a platform that profiles the awareness of graphic design and designers in the areas of the media, culture and business.

Through events such as exhibitions, competitions and awards and business relationships, AGDA provides its members with the resources to further expand thier design and business interests as well as providing the service of connecting prospective clients and the community to professional Graphic Designers.

AGDA also provides members with a code of ethics which is the benchmark of integrity and professionalism in the industry. Arbitration, grievence commitee and professional conduct helps to keep the industry fair and protect both designer and client in business.

In recent years, graphic design has branched out in many different directions to include digital multimedia, CAD, print, Advertising, publishing and so on, there are other associations that provide for them as well that also include graphic design.

Business Software Alliance, Graphic Arts Services of Australia, Melbourne Advertising and Design Club, The Printing Industries Association of Australia, all provide essential services to thier members, and again to prospective clients that facillitate a quality business relationship.
